Clowning Around for a Good Cause

Funds raised from last year’s Cycle for Life, including $17,000 raised by the AE Smith team, will support the placement of Clown Doctors in Queensland’s major children’s hospitals

Last year the chosen charity of Entoure was The Humour Foundation, which runs the Clown Doctors program in hospitals throughout Australia. There are 55 highly skilled Clown Doctors operating in 20 hospitals around Australia, touching the lives of 100,000
people every year.
“We were happy to raise funds for such a great charity,” said Chris Goakes. “The Clown Doctors use fun and laughter to raise the spirit of children when they’re seriously ill in hospital.”

Over the past year AE Smith’s Queensland Construction team has managed delivery of the world-class energy plant at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital.

“It’s great to be part of a team who can deliver both the physical facility of the children’s hospital, and also support the unseen healing functions of smiles and happiness,” said Chris.
