Spotless and AE Smith achieve international accreditation for asset and quality management
In December, Orange Hospital became the only hospital and one of the first organisations in Australia (our Downer colleagues were amongst the first in the Southern Hemisphere), to attain an ISO55001 Certification, gaining international recognition for the site’s asset management efficiency. The certification is a huge achievement for our Orange Hospital facilities management team including AE Smith.
Since the contract started in 2007 through our New South Wales Healthcare PPP, Spotless has implemented a number of operational synergies to provide long-term, whole-of-life benefits and cost efficiencies — from water harvesting and heritage management to advanced technologies for waste audits and administration. The accreditation is testimony to these measures and more that we’ve done to streamline our operational processes.
Spotless also achieved quality management certification to the new ISO 9001 2015 edition quality standard. Late last year BSI ANZ Pty Ltd (British Standards International) carried out the three-yearly quality management recertification audit across Spotless Head Office and contract locations representing all our sectors and services. As well as approving our sister company Nuvo for their first-ever ISO 9001 certification, BSI highlighted the efficiency of our management system in supporting our business – and the systems, products and services of our diverse and dispersed organisation. The customer centricity and operational excellence pillars of our Spotless Now strategy, in addition to the capability and passion for quality by everyone involved were vital for achieving the higher standard certification.
Throughout our history, AE Smith has always been the provider of choice for premium, high quality service. AE Smith’s points of difference centres around our unique and innovative technology, backed by industry accredited systems which drive improvement and cost reductions.
